    Waverly | Mechanicsburg Newborn Photography

Part of being Mechanicsburg’s Maternity, birth and newborn photographer is getting to see families in several phases of their journey.  Many of my clients have a maternity session and newborn session with me.  I love pulling together both sessions.  With this family, we used the same gown for the maternity session and newborn session.  Of course, I’m extra loving it because it’s blue!   The big kids ROCKED this studio newborn session!  Seriously, we got it in the first shot every time.   Meet the many faces of Waverly.  Sleepy little girl yawned and yawned!  Her mama chose lots of white while we were designing her studio newborn session.  …

Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band | 1st Birthday

Calvin is one! I know I say this often, but I love seeing babies I have photographed since birth turn into little people! I first met Calvin’s parents just days after they made a cross-country move from California to Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. She was nine months pregnant during the move! I was so blessed to have been able to capture almost their entire first year! Starting with maternity, newborn, his first birthday and every few months in between. In this time, I also gained some incredible friends. One thing this family is passionate about is music. Calvin was born on the anniversary of The Beatles first day of recording Sgt.…

Rainbows and Butterflies | Harrisburg Newborn Photographer

“Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in our heart.”   -A.A. Milne I was given the absolute privilege to work with the Breininger family. Tiffany Breininger, founder of the Queen B Project, and her husband John came to visit my studio after welcoming their son Maverick Daniel into their family. Maverick Daniel and his bright-eyed self brings them joy beyond words. It was such a pleasure to be able to capture this special family’s moments. These first moments can be so incredible and are vital to remembering their story. Along for pictures at the studio we had Maverick’s big brother Maximus and his mom and dad but,…

    Frozen. Let it go.

I got a call for a very impromptu maternity session last week.  When it snows, you fly by the seat of your pants.  Super cold?  Sure, why not!  Mama several days past her due date with awesome henna?  DUH.      I’ve known Tiff for years.  She founded The Queen B Project after losing her first baby, Emma Grace.  As a volunteer photographer for Sweet Grace Ministries I see her organization’s efforts in action often.  The work she has done is invaluable. Want to have your own maternity session?  Contact me to start talking!

    Spotlight: Erin Ryan and Thirty-One

Who are you and what do you do? Isn’t it funny that this is one of the harder questions to answer when you really stop and think about it? I am Erin Ryan, and my official title is Independent Director with Thirty-One Gifts, leader of the ShamRockers, my team of consultants…. but, what I’m learning about life is that this answer is just who I am on a paper, in an email signature, just that canned response you give when someone asks. Who am I…. I’d need about a week of your time, dozens of coconut milk chai stingers, a few airline flights complete with running through the terminal barefoot,…

    Spotlight: Blue Ridge Breastfeeding

Becoming a parent can be an over whelming experience.  I’ve done it a few times and remember full well how it feels.  I have worked for months to create a network of resources for my followers and clients. I’d like to introduce you to one of them, Marah from Blue Ridge Breastfeeding!   We did a little bit of Q&A for ya’ll to get to know her and what she does. What do you do? Most of my work, for now, involves in-home consultations. The beauty of an in-home lactation consultation is that you don’t have to do a thing. Just be home at the agreed-upon appointment time, which should…
